Never Miss Your Stop
Buss App knows when you're on the bus and when your stop is coming up. It sends you a notification to get ready so you're never caught off guard. If you somehow pass your stop, it'll let you know that too.
Live on Your Lock Screen
Once you're tracking a bus, your journey appears as a Live Activity on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. See delay status, arrival estimates, and your next stop at a glance without opening the app.
Smart Arrival Predictions
Buss App doesn't just read the timetable back to you. It runs multiple prediction methods in parallel, including the bus's live position and actual road routing, to give you an arrival estimate you can trust.
Save Your Commute
Add your regular bus routes and see the next departures at a glance. Pick a departure, tap track, and Buss App takes care of the rest. Each route gets its own colour-coded card so you can find it instantly.
Know When to Leave
When your bus is approaching, Buss App calculates how long it'll take you to walk to the stop. You'll know exactly when to head out the door so you arrive just in time.

Spade Studio Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") built Buss App as a real-time bus tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Buss App.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Saved Routes: Bus operator, line number, embark stop, and disembark stop for routes you save
- Preferences: Notification settings, appearance preferences, and route colours
Information from Device Features
With your permission, Buss App may access:
- Location (When In Use): To show nearby buses and bus stops on the map
- Location (Always): To calculate walking time to your bus stop and notify you when to leave. You can use the app without granting this permission.
- Notifications: To alert you when your bus is approaching or when to get off
You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time in Settings. The app remains functional with reduced features.
Automatically Collected Information
We do not automatically collect any personal information. Buss App does not include analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry of any kind.
How We Store Your Data
Local Storage
All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is encrypted by iOS. Your saved routes, preferences, and cached timetable data never leave your device.
No Cloud Sync
Buss App does not sync data to iCloud or any other cloud service. Your data exists only on the device where you created it.
Network Requests
Buss App connects to external services solely to provide real-time bus information:
- Bus Open Data Service (BODS): A UK government API operated by the Department for Transport, used to fetch real-time bus locations and timetable data
- NaPTAN: A UK government database used to look up bus stop names and locations
- Apple MapKit: Used to display maps and calculate walking routes
These requests contain no personal information. Location data is used on-device only and is not sent to any server.
Third-Party Services
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. Buss App does not collect telemetry or usage data.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. Your data stays on your device.
Data Retention
Local Data: Remains on your device until you delete it. You can clear cached timetable data at any time from Settings.
Saved Routes: Persist until you delete them within the app.
We (Spade Studio Ltd) do not have access to any of your data.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- View: All your data is visible within the app
- Edit: You can modify saved routes and preferences at any time
- Delete: Delete individual routes or clear all cached data in Settings
- Permissions: Manage location and notification permissions via iOS Settings
Children's Privacy
Buss App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences to track bus journeys.
Security
Your data is protected by:
- iOS device encryption for local storage
- Your device passcode and/or biometric authentication
- No cloud storage or remote data transmission of personal data
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date.
Apple App Store
Buss App is distributed through the Apple App Store and complies with Apple's App Store Guidelines and privacy requirements.
